Dr. Sandra Agle was an educator in the Lee County School District for 42 years. After she obtained her Doctorate, she also adjuncted at Florida GulfCoast University working with intern teachers in technology classes. Upon retirement in 2015, Dr. Agle relaxed into the community and began searching for opportunities to learn more about her passion: fiber arts. She had started crocheting at age six in her Mother's lap and had always enthusiastically embraced new knitting or needlepoint techniques.
In March of 2016, Sandra decided to go to a trunk show for Kristen Omdahl at Geez Leweez Needlework Shop. There she met Stan Kujawa, the owner, and they began a friendship that resulted in Sandra becoming a teacher for the shop's knitting and crochet classes.
When Stan also decided to retire and close Geez Leweez, Sandra chose to open Hooked On Ewe Yarn Shop on October 3rd, 2016, in order to fill the need for a local yarn shop with lessons and personal attention to all.
The rest is a dream come true...
